Things Not Seen Archive is an archive gathering sound works by confirmed and emerging artists that capture something that has not been seen – but maybe heard, felt, imagined, spoken of.

 

The archive is subject of research for students taking part part at the seminary Art & Invisibility at the Art Academy Montpellier. In this context the pieces are listened to and spacialised, introducing questions such as: How sound can inscribe and circumscribe a given space? How does it change the perception of a given space? How one can give materiality and performability to an archive?

 

The archive is exhibited at venues involving the Art Academy of Montpellier. It then adapts to the particularity of its location, aiming to bring into focus particular qualities of a space endowing it with a specifc atmosphere.

 

The archive is growing by contributions through a permanent Open Call
